Brussels, Belgium – October 3, 2024 — The Erasmus+ D-PAIDEIA Project is proud to announce the release of its new curriculum aimed at enhancing the pedagogical digital competencies of educators across Europe. This groundbreaking initiative addresses the critical need for teachers to adapt to the rapidly evolving digital education landscape, emphasising socio-emotional skills, institutional policy awareness, and digital well-being.
The curriculum, designed in collaboration with educational experts and validated through extensive feedback from teachers and professionals, was developed to respond to the challenges educators faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. It builds upon the DigCompEdu framework, adding critical competencies in areas such as managing educational relationships with ICT, diverse facilitation strategies, and digital identity management.
Key Features of the D-PAIDEIA Curriculum:
- Comprehensive Training: The curriculum includes five structured modules that cover areas such as institutional policy awareness, digital work-life balance, and the ethical use of digital resources.
- Socio-Emotional Skills: New focus areas help teachers manage educational relationships and integrate diverse facilitation strategies for both face-to-face and online learning.
- Practical Learning Activities: Teachers will engage in a variety of synchronous and asynchronous activities tailored to beginner, intermediate, and expert levels. These activities ensure a hands-on approach to professional development.
- Digital Identity Management: A focus on helping educators manage their digital identity and reputation in today’s connected world.
The curriculum will be piloted in the upcoming academic year, offering a flexible model for schools to implement according to their specific needs. With a focus on inclusivity and adaptability, the D-PAIDEIA project aims to equip educators with the tools they need to foster effective, safe, and engaging digital learning environments.
